good cheap way to have a tracker

Post by clik » Wed Nov 18, 2015 7:10 pm

since CLS had his bike stolen it made me think this can happen to any one of us any time .
The problem i found is the trackers all come with add ons we don't want
All we want is the accurate location to where our bike is so i thought phones are cheap and reliable this made me think we all have old phones and if they have GPS this is all we need .
i came across this on the web and i think it will give you the idea cheap, simple to install , and i would think more reliable than trackers from china .

Great idea !, and pretty cheap too.

Found this phone Alcatel 10.52 on Pay as you go on Vodafone £10...
Personally i'd wire mine straight to the battery as the bike is either in the garage (alarmed) and on an optimate or the local café where i'm about 20 feet away from it.
But it's just that time where you pop to the shops or a mates house (like CSL) and it goes missing....this phone has a 5 day battery life too.

Just finding a place to put it...tighter than a nun's chuff under the seat !
