I was also looking at the Mk1 Hypermotards at first. 3 year old Hypers going for ca. £6300, brand new Nuda 900S at £6700  Nobrainer! :D

So I'm now the apointed vid whore eh?! Thanks.

The thing is with buying a Ducati I would feel unsure, it's like buying a game like Bucaroo or Keplunk. You never know when it's gonna die on you. Its mostly because of its past history it's in my head the percentage of failure is higher than other brands whereas the F800 lump has a good history as far as I'm aware of except for BMWs way of getting you to buy stuff you don't need. :D

Nice sunny day. Night before I was planning routes but on the day I was told it's a supervised group ride with two instructors on Diavels. They don't half shift and handle!
The hypermotard had a similar height to the Nuda, maybe a tad lower n slightly wider seat. Rev range think is upto 10k. I couldn't be bothered to fidle about with the 3 different ride modes so kept it on sport. At low speeds through the village I rolled around in 1st. 2nd seemed gutless when I needed the power. But on the other side, on the power it pulls like a train. On one of the bends I managed to get the front a bit flighty in mid turn
It had a stock zaust so was a bit quiet for what we are used to.

The 959 had legal Akra pipes which gave it a bit more meatyness. Same again had it on sport mode. But the 959 had also a race mode, prefferably for the track. I wanted the electronics to do their job as I wasn't fancying coughing up 2grand excess :|
Wierdly enough, the 959 felt more ridable at low speeds than the Hyper. It's smooth, fluid and fast. Roars on the gas and barks on the downshift blip. It's awsome! If only I had a go on the 1299. 8-)
Maybe because it was a supervised ride I couldn't discover more about both bikes other potentials. If I had the choice between the Hyper and the Nuda, I'd have the Nuda for now. :D
