Nuda 900R brembo

Post by TimR » Mon Jul 09, 2018 1:57 pm

Hey
Long time since I logged in here...
I’m after info if anyone can help.
My front brake master is weeping but I can’t find a service kit listed.
Does anyone know which Brembo unit is fitted or the size kit I need. I only have a Husqvarna part number which isn’t going to help me with Brembo...

TIA

Good question, other than the Husqvarna part number, no idea. A full replacement costs €240. Why don't you take a picture and send it to Brembo, they might be able to help.

Oh, I actually know the answer to this one.

I needed to replace a bent front brake lever. Good luck with finding one of those anywhere, right?

Eventually, I figured out to look at what other bikes use the same brake lever (ie aftermarket stuff).

http://www.pazzoracing.com/guide.html
Nuda 900/R 2011-2013 (D-01/B-8)
Brake: D-01
Clutch: B-8

Then I looked on the list to see what other bikes use the same Pazzo Racing brake lever:
2013-2015 Ducati Hypermotard SP
KTM
Super Adventure 1290 S/T/R
1190 Adventure/R
990 SMR/SMT

Here in Australia that front brake lever retails for $A230.45. What a joke. I ended up buying an identical Ducati Hypermotard one for $A38.96 on eBay instead.

So, there you go.. a long-winded answer, but see what rebuild kit you can find for a Ducati Hypermotard or one of the KTMs.

For anyone still interested in this...

Brembo DO NOT supply a seal repair/service kit for this unit...
Not through Husqvarna, Ducati or KTM...

Bastards !

Meaning it should be shipped to one of their certified service centers?
Of course, all in the interest of your safety
